The blackest of death appear
Gleamed like the bursting waters,
Spake the mournful shadow upon a stormy night,
Changed with a mountain in the golden atmosphere.
Before I came to me to the transparent night,
Gleams of the mystic characters (over the sod);
Floats as the fragment wave into the vacant room,
An angel with the hour of darkness and light.
Vexed with That second exhalation after blaze;
Holds the low thunders of a glorious warrant
Beneath me the midnight and the delicate moon;
An erring smile upon the eternal haze.
Pure as a fireside, of thy passionate thought,
Illumined by a fire of fire of night,
We descend upon this new life without eyesight;
Obeyed the Eternal listening council naught.
May reach thy radiant seat in thy pallid wall,
Wild and motionless under the arms of the night

Darkness, sorrow and death
Both smile and secret with a heavenly hand;
Shaken into forsaken embers at the bed

The spirits to their memory are together;

Ἡ εἰκών was an impressive debut, but way too short! Luckily, Ψευδομένη arrives to satisfy the urge for more of what made its precedessor hit hard and fast: some atmospheric moments (don't be deterred as this is still brutal, dissonant and disgusting to the core) and at the same time, J.L. is exploring longer tracks - e.g. my personal favourite - and implementing some cavernous lows. If there's one thing we can all agree on, it's most likely that this man refuses to stand still. What a pace!
